Futtock's End

Futtocks End is a genuine comedy masterpiece written by and starring the legendry comedian Ronnie Barker. Set in a country manor house, the story features the saucy shenanigans at a weekend getaway presided over by the monocled General Futtock (Barker).

This silent film uses strange and wonderful sound effects in the place of dialogue and, up until the Morecambe and Wise Christmas Special in 1972, it held the highest single TV rating ever for a comedy, with 12 million viewers switching on in 1969. The film is a global hit too and is shown every Christmas in Germany.

It also features an all-star cast including the great acting talents of Sir Michael Hordern as the butler and Roger Livesey as the artist. This much requested film is classic British comedy at its best and will be released by Digital Classics digitally restored and complete with a director's commentary for the first time ever on DVD on 26 June 2006 priced just £9.99 ( Catalogue No.: DC10021).
