World of Pub

Billed as `EastEnders' meets `The Simpsons' in a four-part cartoon series for the ears. This comedy was set in an East End Pub, run by Garry and Barry, with appearances from thie best mate Dodgy Phil. The series starred John Thompson, Peter Serafinowicz, Phil Cornwell, with Kim Wall, Debra Stephenson, and Alistair McGowan, and was written by Tony Roche. To my knwoledge, all have been re-braodcast on BBC7.

This series was originally broadcast on Radio 4 of a Wednesday evening at 11.15pm, and each edition was 15 minutes long.

18.3.98Barry and Garry ask Dodgy Phil to build the biggest pub in the world. He names it after the Titanic and claims that it is undrinkable. Then it sinks.
25.3.98It is the five hundredth anniversary of the East End, and the Queen is visiting Barry and Garry's pub. To mark the occasion, Dodgy Phil books royal favourites Chas and Dave, but will they make it back from Las Vegas in time?
