Miles was trained at Middlesex University. Theatre roles include Ian in Exclusive Yarns (New Wimbledon Theatre), LucyFur in Hot Stuff (Leicester Haymarket), Arnold in Torch Song Trilogy (Kings Head Theatre), Miss West Coast in Pageant (Vaudeville Theatre) for which he won an Olivier award for Best Artist in a Musical. Miss West Coast in Pageant (Second City, Chicago) for which he was nominated for a Jeff award as Best Actor in a Revue. Rupert Edgerton in Tallulah Darling (Bridewell Theatre), Hedwig u/s in Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Broadway Theatre, Chicago), Jeffrey in When Pigs Fly (Arts Theatre), Steve in The Cradle Will Rock (BAC), Gad and the Butler in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (UK Tour), Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show (European/UK Tour), Stone in City of Angels (The Octagon), Tommy in The Normal Heart(KMT), The Narrator in Grimm Tales (Lyric, Hammersmith), Badger in The Wind in the Willows (Pavilion , Brighton), Paul in Les Enfants Terribles (Edinburgh Festival Theatre), Rodriguez in Breaking News (Kings Head Theatre).

Miles has also written and performed in Article 19 (Riverside Studios), Newsrevue (Canal Cafe Theatre) and The Lost Musicals (Barbican). For Qdos pantomimes Miles has been a principal artist for several years and he has worked for the Walt Disney Company in the US performing in many of their productions including Hades in the opening cast of Hercules in 1998. TV and film credits include Laurent the Wigmaker in Joel Schumachers version of The Phantom of the Opera, Martin in Absolutely Fabulous and Wally in GameinTV. Appearances also include Frank Stubbs Promotes, Eastenders and Mile High.
