The Birds and the Bees were formed in response to an overwhelming demand in the mid-seventies for brightly-dressed pop groups with names beginning with B, started by Brotherhood of Man. Montague St John Jones, a successful entrepreneur and professional sadist, created the band and entered them for Eurovision. Within weeks they were at the top of the charts. Within a matter of years they were one of the most successful groups in the world, topping ABBA, The Bay City Rollers and The Wurzels. One music critic called them the voice of the seventies. They split up famously at Live Aid, but since then, they haven't been seen in public and have been written out of music history. This show is an attempt to bring them the attention they deserve and the public a chance to see the story of one of the most enigmatic groups in the pop music pantheon.
